Fans are sending tweets with faux disclaimers that say “ⓘ 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗲“.

By adding the ⓘ symbol to tweets, the disclaimer appears more authentic, but the memes are typically more focused on making jokes.

The meme format is now being used by Clubs in the Premier League, La Liga and the National League (North). But it’s when players endorse their club that the truth really comes out.

#2 And that club is Chelsea Football Club who claim ‘London is Blue’ on the same day.

#5 Sevilla FC get the handbags out with ‘@LaLigaEN is better than the @premierleague’.
